Written by Meghan Barrett: After interning for Keyworth Graphics in the spring of 2006, and doing a bit of freelance work in the Fall, I moved down to Long Island, NY - my home. In January 2007, I found a job at a New York Direct Marketing firm where I ironically work in the Marketing department. My role is divided – half steward to upper management, and half graphic designer. I learned quickly that the skills and tips that I picked up at Keyworth Graphics came to use. Some of which, were observed and absorbed, and not taught in the classroom. Will gave me some real world experience, and for that I will be forever grateful. To date, some of the design projects I have worked on include: helping in the completion of the companies rebranding; a 40th anniversary celebration and promotion; and all the promotional design to go along with a conference the company is holding, including six brand new Web pages added to the Web site. I have been at this company for over a year now and have truly learned so much about myself as both a business professional and a graphic designer. I of course think of Will often – who has come to be my mentor in many ways. I thank him for everything he has taught me, and always being a great supporter. Maybe one day I will find myself working with him again – at least one can only hope! See original post here
